EnerSys to Preview Battery Energy Storage System and Next Generation Charger at Upcoming Trade Shows
March 20, 2025
EnerSys, a global leader in stored energy solutions for industrial applications, is set to showcase its new NexSys™ Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and Synova™ Sync charger concepts at the upcoming LogiMAT and ProMat trade shows. These innovative technologies aim to enhance energy management and cost efficiency, contributing to operational resilience during the global energy transition.
LogiMAT will take place from March 11-13 in Stuttgart, Germany, while ProMat is scheduled for March 17-20 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois. A spokesperson for the company stated, “These new innovations enable organizations to store and utilize energy more efficiently from renewable sources that depend on time and conditions, such as wind and solar.”
The NexSys™ BESS allows operations to manage energy costs effectively through a process known as “peak shaving,” which involves storing energy during periods of lower utility rates for use during peak demand times when rates are higher. The advanced Synova™ Sync charger offers exceptional efficiency and performance, featuring two-way data and energy flow capabilities. This allows operations to transfer energy back from equipment into centralized storage when required.
Both the NexSys™ BESS and Synova™ Sync charger also come equipped with cloud-based data reporting, enhancing energy and operational management. Kerry Philips, Vice President of Global Product Management for Motive Power at EnerSys, remarked, “These new products enhance our customers’ energy management, especially for those facing potential shortages and high peak hour rates. Whether drawing from the electrical grid or renewable sources, our new energy storage solutions empower customers to more directly control their energy supply and costs, which is increasingly essential in today’s market.”
These next-generation products are designed to help businesses reduce utility costs and stabilize energy for their operations, increasing their resilience. Together, the NexSys™ BESS and Synova™ Sync charger create a robust foundation for onsite microgrids, effectively storing, managing, and utilizing energy from both the traditional grid and various onsite generation sources.
“As the world transitions to a new energy paradigm, these innovations significantly enhance the operational benefits of our existing product portfolio, enabling customers to better manage energy costs and leverage investments in onsite generation projects,” said Christina Warn, Global Director of Marketing for Motive Power at EnerSys. “When integrated with our fleet data modeling capabilities and our extensive range of battery technologies, these new offerings help customers optimize and manage energy throughout their entire operations.”
Visitors can explore the new NexSys™ BESS and next-gen Synova™ Sync charger, along with EnerSys’ complete portfolio of turnkey power solutions, at their trade show booths: LogiMAT (Stand 10B09) in Stuttgart, Germany, from March 11-13, 2025, and ProMat (Booth S612) in Chicago, Illinois, from March 17-20, 2025.
