From “Foundation” to “Ecosystem” | Efort and Qizhi Showcase at the 3rd China Robotics Industry Conference, Exploring New Business Paths for Intelligent Robots

On April 10-11, the annual highlight of the robotics industry—the 3rd China Robotics Industry Conference and the Embodied Intelligence 50 Forum—was held in Nanshan, Shenzhen. This forum brought together top experts, entrepreneurs, investors, and leading companies in the industry to engage in deep discussions on cutting-edge topics such as embodied intelligence and AI large model empowerment.

Dr. You Wei, Chairman and General Manager of Efort Intelligent Robot Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Efort”), was honored to be invited to share insights and directly address the industry’s “implementation challenges.” He systematically elaborated on the core path from technical validation to large-scale application of industrial embodied intelligence, showcasing the industry’s strategic layout from “technical foundation” to “open ecosystem.”

The conference, co-hosted by Investor Network and the Embodied Intelligence 50 Forum, kicked off with the theme “Smart Control of All Things, Coexisting Future.” It gathered leading companies and key scene stakeholders from both upstream and downstream sectors to collaboratively tackle industry challenges through closed-door meetings and roundtable discussions.

The forum focused on three empowering strategies: scenario empowerment to bridge supply and demand barriers, capital empowerment to accelerate project scalability, and ecosystem empowerment to promote synergy in standards and data. This marks a shift away from isolated breakthroughs and into a new phase of ecosystem co-construction.

The “Embodied Intelligence 50 Forum” aims to link scene requirements with innovative solutions, serving as a crucial platform for Efort to play its role as a leading company, driving collaboration across the industry chain.

In 2024, Efort, in partnership with the Advanced Manufacturing Industry Investment Fund and Wuhu City Science and Technology Innovation Group, will jointly establish Qizhi Robot Company (hereinafter referred to as “Qizhi”), focusing on the research and commercialization of general technology foundations for intelligent robots. As a key strategic move in Efort’s endeavor at the forefront of intelligence, Qizhi aims to address long-standing core issues in the robotics industry, such as high development barriers, costs, and inefficiencies.

The technology foundation comprises a complete empowerment system built on three major modules: the “Mudu IDE Integrated Development Platform,” the “Dayan Data Platform,” and the “Openmind OS Operating System.” By establishing standardized development processes and providing a rich library of algorithms and components, it simplifies complex robot programming into a more efficient app development model. This significantly reduces development costs and enhances innovation efficiency.

Currently, Qizhi’s intelligent robot general technology foundation has made a key step from technical validation to large-scale application. It not only empowers traditional robots in industrial manufacturing scenarios (such as welding, spraying, and palletizing) with perception and decision-making capabilities for intelligent upgrades but also supports emerging forms like mobile robots and humanoid robots by providing a unified perception, planning, and control capability, accelerating their technical maturity and application exploration.

More importantly, the foundation’s support for the concept of “separation of operational and development states” and its app ecosystem is fostering innovative business models such as Robotics as a Service (RaaS). This allows end-users to access specific robotic skills for particular scenarios through convenient methods like natural language, thereby enabling intelligent robots to generate visible commercial value.

The wave of embodied intelligence is reshaping countless industries at an unprecedented speed. While the industry is still discussing “when to implement,” Efort and Qizhi are steadfastly exploring the path of “how to create actual value.” From the continuous evolution of the intelligent robot general technology foundation to the bold innovation of the RaaS business model, and the collaborative construction of an open developer ecosystem—Efort is leveraging a comprehensive capability system to facilitate the transformation of robots from “single-function tools” to “embodied intelligent agents with perception, decision-making, and execution capabilities.”

Smart control of all things represents Efort’s pursuit of technological capability; a coexisting future is Efort’s commitment to the industrial ecosystem. Efort looks forward to collaborating with industry partners to jointly outline a grand blueprint for empowering countless households with robotics.
