As the traditional sales peak season approaches in September, the Chinese automotive market is witnessing a surge in activity, with major automakers revealing their monthly sales figures. In September, Dongfeng reported a total of 23,000 vehicles sold, indicating a strong performance in the market.

On October 4, 2025, it was announced that Lantu Motors has officially filed for an IPO on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. This move aims to expand its financing options, enhance brand image, and broaden its international market presence as the global electric vehicle market continues to grow rapidly.

Also, at the conference, Zhu Huarong from Changan Automobile suggested optimizing the tax policy for new energy vehicle purchases to phase out the current exemption starting from March 2026.

As the market transitions from policy-driven to market-driven dynamics, the new energy heavy-duty truck sector faces significant changes, especially with the gradual reduction of subsidies.

On September 25, 2025, Ford announced its strategic integration in China by establishing a wholly-owned subsidiary to unify its sales and service channels.

In the third week of September, BYD once again surpassed 70,000 units sold, while other competitors like Leap Motor experienced a decline in sales.

New electric vehicle sales are expected to rise significantly, with projections indicating that by 2030, global automotive sales could reach 95 million units, driven by new energy and emerging markets.

Additionally, Enphase Energy has introduced a new bidirectional electric vehicle charger that can provide backup power and share energy with the grid, showcasing innovative advancements in the industry.
