200 Sets! Desay Battery’s First Energy Storage Order in Hungary Officially Secured
On May 15, Desay Battery announced that it has signed a framework procurement agreement for commercial energy storage systems with Turkish investors and the construction company Hyt Enerji. This marks the company’s first order in the Hungarian market. Hungary is a strategic location for energy transformation in Europe, and it is accelerating the development of the energy storage industry through both policy support and market demand.
This signing represents a significant achievement for Desay Battery in the European market and is a crucial step in its global expansion strategy.
High-Performance Products and Localized Services
According to the agreement, Desay Battery will supply Hyt Enerji with 200 sets of its self-developed integrated commercial energy storage systems, each with a capacity of 215 kWh, with plans for delivery by the end of 2026. The core advantage of this energy storage system lies in its fully self-researched technology, utilizing 280Ah lithium iron phosphate cells. It features intelligent temperature control and multiple safety protection technologies, ensuring stable operation in extreme conditions ranging from -30°C to 60°C.
The system supports virtual power plant grid connection and dynamic pricing optimization, enabling it to adapt flexibly to Hungary’s grid frequency regulation needs, thereby aiding Hyt Enerji in enhancing its green power revenue.
To create a sustainable localized service ecosystem, Desay Battery has partnered with third-party technical service providers to establish a comprehensive lifecycle management system that covers installation, commissioning, and smart operation and maintenance. This dual-engine model of “high-performance products + localized services” not only reduces the long-term operational costs for owners but also provides a solid guarantee for asset value preservation and appreciation through data-driven preventive maintenance strategies, significantly improving investment return certainty.
Desay Battery’s European Strategy
This collaboration is an important implementation of Desay Battery’s strategy to “expand overseas and seek new opportunities.” Hyt Enerji is a well-known energy investment and construction company in Turkey, rich in resources and experience in the European energy market. By partnering, Desay Battery will leverage its advanced energy storage products and technologies to assist Hyt Enerji in project implementation in Hungary. In turn, Hyt Enerji will utilize its local resources and market channels to promote Desay Battery’s energy storage products in Hungary and across Europe, facilitating integration into the Central European renewable energy ecosystem and achieving mutual benefits.
Recently, Desay Battery has been active in developing its energy storage business in Europe. The company announced collaboration with Finland’s Lehto Group to enter the 200MWh energy storage frequency regulation market in Finland and Northern Europe. Lehto will utilize its local project development and system integration capabilities, while Desay Battery will provide high-performance storage products and full-stack solutions, employing a “battery storage + digital operation” model to offer second-level frequency response to the grid and optimize revenue models through energy arbitrage.
Notably, Desay Battery’s 5MWh liquid-cooled container system has passed the EU’s new battery law certification, clearing policy obstacles related to carbon footprint management and recycling compliance for project implementation. With its diverse product portfolio, Desay Battery has not only solidified its advantages in commercial storage and grid-side applications but also accelerated its integration into the European energy storage ecosystem through localized cooperation, effectively avoiding trade barriers.
