On May 26, 2023, the company provided an update on its investor relations, outlining the progress and advantages of its solid-state battery research and development.
According to Del Corporation, in 2023, its solid-state battery samples developed in Japan successfully passed third-party tests, including puncture, heating, and overcharging experiments. By 2024, the company received national invention patent authorization for its solid-state battery technology. In August 2024, Del Corporation signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Jiangling Motors Group New Energy Vehicle Co., Ltd., stipulating that the solid-state batteries developed by Del will be tested in the company’s vehicles.
By January 2025, Del Corporation established a pilot production line for solid-state batteries in Shanghai, confirming the replicability of its production technology and processes. In February 2025, the company showcased its latest generation of solid-state battery samples at the Tokyo International Secondary Battery and Energy Storage Exhibition.
The pilot production line in Shanghai is now operational, enabling various technical tests. Del Corporation can customize solutions for clients based on different application scenarios and technical requirements. Currently, the company is actively promoting the subsequent establishment of pilot lines and mass production bases, driven by customer development and market demand for solid-state batteries.
Regarding advantages, Del Corporation’s solid-state battery samples have demonstrated high safety and stability through third-party testing. The manufacturing process utilizes established coating techniques, ensuring simplicity and scalability while effectively reducing production costs. The company plans to accelerate the commercialization of solid-state batteries to capture market opportunities in sectors such as new energy vehicles, drones, robotics, and power tools.
