Xieqi Hydrogen Energy has entered into a joint venture with South Korea’s AIMSAK to expand into the global market for hydrogen-powered tools and drones. The cooperation agreement focuses on manufacturing and R&D for hydrogen drones, hydrogen-powered tools, and capital acquisitions, aiming to promote the adoption of heavy-lift, long-range hydrogen drone solutions. This partnership marks a significant step in Xieqi Hydrogen Energy’s globalization strategy, facilitating the commercialization of its technology in international markets.

Dongde Hydrogen Energy is contributing to the establishment of the first green hydrogen production base in Northeast China with a 200 MW wind power to hydrogen project located in Bolishan County, Heilongjiang Province. This project has been designated as a key provincial industrial project. Dongde Hydrogen Energy is supplying essential equipment and has customized modifications to withstand local extreme weather conditions, ensuring stable operation. Once completed, the project will generate 620,000 MWh of clean electricity annually, saving 190,000 tons of standard coal and reducing CO₂ emissions by 480,000 tons, thus setting a benchmark for cold-region green hydrogen projects and promoting integrated green development of “wind-solar-storage-hydrogen-ammonia.”

The Hebei Development and Reform Commission has announced a call for applications for the national key R&D program on “Hydrogen Energy Technology” and “Energy Storage and Smart Grid Technology” for the fiscal year 2025. The application covers four research topics, including electrolyzer simulation, hydrogen fuel system evaluation, industrial ammonia combustion, and battery storage analysis. Applications must adhere to a non-repetition principle, with a submission deadline of July 10, 2025.

An EPC bidding announcement has been released for the hydrogen (hydrogen production) demonstration project at the Yulin Zero Carbon Industrial Park in Shaanxi. The project, covering 166 acres, includes various hydrogen production systems and supporting facilities, with a total building area exceeding 10,000 square meters. It aims to create a comprehensive hydrogen energy base incorporating hydrogen production, storage, and refueling functions. The project encourages consortium bids.

The National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration have issued a notice to orderly promote the development of green electricity direct connections. This initiative aims to enhance the consumption of renewable energy and meet the green energy demands of enterprises. The green electricity direct connection allows renewable energy to be supplied directly to a single user and is categorized into grid-connected and off-grid types. The notice emphasizes the principles of safety first and environmental friendliness.

Pengfei Hydrogen Cloud in Shanxi has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Changzhou Green Energy Power and Dream Hydrogen Energy to promote the large-scale application of hydrogen-powered two-wheelers in the market.

The first hydrogen-powered cultural tourism tram in China, named “Hydrogen Spring,” has been delivered in Changchun. This tram is equipped with a Guohong Hydrogen Energy fuel cell system and will operate on a route that embodies the city’s cultural essence.

Construction has officially begun on the hydrogen energy equipment manufacturing center by Huaqin New Energy in Shaanxi, marking a significant milestone for the hydrogen energy sector in the region.

The Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology has released drafts for the “Hunan Zero Carbon Factory Construction Plan” and “Hunan Zero Carbon Park Construction Plan,” which aim to establish multiple provincial-level zero-carbon parks by 2030, with a target of non-fossil energy consumption accounting for 50%. The plan encourages the use of various renewable energy sources and optimizes the energy consumption structure of enterprises.

HDF Energy from France is working on developing hydrogen and marine projects in Vietnam to provide alternatives for traditional power applications. This initiative is based on a signed agreement with the Southern Power Company, a subsidiary of Vietnam Electricity (EVN).

The U.S. Department of Energy has updated the 45VH2-GREET modeling tool, which is expected to clear obstacles for the development of the domestic hydrogen industry in the United States by providing a more flexible approach to calculating hydrogen supply chains.
