Chint New Energy’s 38 MW Solar Project in the Netherlands Delivered: Providing Green Power for 12,000 Households Annually
In April 2025, Chint New Energy’s European branch announced the official delivery of its 38 MW solar project in Druten, a city in central Netherlands. The project, named Larendeel, began construction in the summer of 2024 and was completed successfully within a few months. This delivery marks a significant step in Chint’s expansion into the European renewable energy market.
The Larendeel solar project spans 32 hectares and is expected to supply green electricity to approximately 12,000 households once operational. It will provide stable support for the local energy structure’s transition. Throughout the planning and construction phases, Chint’s team prioritized ecological protection and landscape integration. They established low shrubs as a buffer between the solar facilities and the natural landscape, ensuring harmonious coexistence with the surrounding environment.
Additionally, the project team implemented various measures in the surrounding areas, including planting vegetation, creating wildlife ponds, and landscaping with trees along the waterfront. These efforts aim to promote the simultaneous development of green energy and biodiversity conservation.
A representative from Chint New Energy stated that Europe has long been committed to advancing green energy applications and achieving carbon neutrality. The importance of energy security and sustainable development has become even more pronounced in the wake of the energy crisis. The establishment of this solar project not only reduces reliance on fossil fuels but also provides a clean alternative for local energy consumption.
It is noteworthy that the Dutch public places a high emphasis on environmental protection and climate change, aligning perfectly with Chint New Energy’s commitment to sustainable development. The delivery of the Larendeel project will not only enhance the supply of green electricity and significantly reduce emissions but also incorporate community participation throughout the project’s lifecycle, creating job opportunities and supporting the dual development of the regional economy and ecology.
This successful implementation of the project further demonstrates Chint Group’s engineering capabilities and advantages in green energy solutions in the European renewable energy sector. Moving forward, Chint New Energy plans to leverage its technological expertise and localized operational experience to provide clean and efficient energy services to more regions worldwide, promoting the widespread adoption of renewable energy in the international market.
