Chinese Robotics Showcase Breakthroughs at MWC 2026 with Advanced Embodied Intelligence Technology

Chinese

On March 2, 2026, the World Mobile Communications Conference (MWC 2026) officially opened at the Fira Gran Via exhibition center in Barcelona, Spain. Recognized as the largest and most influential professional exhibition in the global communication and digital technology sectors, MWC is considered an annual barometer for the communications technology industry.

This year, a new force in “embodied intelligence” from the East garnered significant attention. Beijing Human-Robot Innovation Center Co., Ltd. (referred to as “Beijing Human-Robot”) made its overseas debut with the latest version of its embodied TianGong 3.0. This event not only symbolizes the acceleration of China’s humanoid robots entering the international market but also reflects the evolution of China’s robust technology on the global stage. Additionally, Zhiyuan Innovation (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as “Zhiyuan Technology”) showcased its Zhiyuan Kuito brand in collaboration with China Telecom Group Co., Ltd. (referred to as “China Telecom”) at MWC 2026, marking the launch of a new journey in autonomous exploration with 6G+ quadruped robots.

Wang Lei, a council member of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, stated to the Securities Daily that the collective presence of Chinese companies at MWC 2026 signifies a transition in China’s embodied intelligence industry from mere technology demonstration to a new phase of global ecological development. The collaboration between embodied intelligence and communication companies highlights the deep integration of communication and robotics technology, laying a technological foundation for future integrated operations across air, land, and sea. Chinese enterprises are reshaping the global humanoid robot industry with a more pragmatic and open approach.

TianGong Goes Global

As a “new face” at MWC, Beijing Human-Robot attracted considerable attention this year. In February, the company unveiled its next-generation robotic product, the embodied TianGong 3.0, which has been defined by the industry as the first full-size humanoid robot capable of interactive physical control with high dynamic movement.

At the exhibition, the embodied TianGong 3.0 demonstrated its remarkable capabilities powered by its self-developed “Wisdom Creation” universal embodied intelligence platform. It showcased advancements in motion control, autonomous operation, and intelligent collaboration, surpassing the technological levels of previous models. Notably, to address long-standing issues in the embodied intelligence sector, such as poor compatibility and adaptation challenges, TianGong 3.0 offers more open software and hardware interfaces.

Wei Guohong, a member of the China Robot CR Education Training Standards Committee, commented in an interview that the overseas debut of TianGong 3.0 is significant not only for showcasing a breakthrough in technology but also for presenting a “platform-based” solution. By significantly lowering development costs and barriers across various industries, Beijing Human-Robot is essentially building an ecosystem akin to the Android system for smartphones. This philosophy of being “more open and user-friendly” marks a crucial shift for Chinese robotics companies from merely selling hardware to offering ecosystems and services, establishing their core competitive advantage in the international market.

According to Wang Lei, the “platform-based” approach of TianGong 3.0 is vital for Chinese robotics companies to build differentiated competitive barriers on the global stage.

Accelerating the Integration of 6G and Embodied Intelligence

This year’s MWC focused on next-generation core technologies, including 5G-A, embodied intelligence, and 6G, providing a fertile ground for the international expansion of Chinese humanoid robots. During the exhibition, Zhiyuan Technology’s Zhiyuan Kuito brand and China Telecom previewed their joint innovation results regarding “6G+ quadruped robots,” revealing a future landscape of the integration of communication and robotics technology. 6G technology, characterized by ultra-high speeds, ultra-low latency, integrated perception, AI native capabilities, high-precision positioning, and comprehensive coverage, is transforming the dimensions of physical AI through its convergence with embodied intelligence technologies.

Yuan Bo, a distinguished expert at Zhichan Think Tank, noted in an interview that one of the current bottlenecks in humanoid robot development is the ability to perform real-time, autonomous data transmission and processing, as well as perception in complex environments. The exploration of “embodied intelligence + communication” showcased by Chinese companies at MWC is essentially equipping robots with “super brains” and “long-range vision.” The accelerated development of integrated operational capabilities across air, land, and sea will become a significant high ground for the next generation of the embodied intelligence industry.

From Showcasing Technology to Serving Various Industries

Ultimately, technological breakthroughs must serve industry. Beijing Human-Robot’s participation in MWC represents a crucial step in its marketization and globalization strategy, as well as its practical application in industry.

With significant research and development investments in the “embodied TianGong” and “Wisdom Creation” platforms, Beijing Human-Robot has achieved notable results in both technological innovation and industrial implementation. To date, the company has partnered with brands such as Foton Cummins and Bayer Pharmaceuticals, effectively bringing embodied intelligence technology into real-world applications in industrial manufacturing and biopharmaceutical sectors.

Wei Guohong believes that Chinese companies are no longer satisfied with merely showcasing technology in laboratories; instead, they are pragmatically pushing robots into various industries. The collaboration between Beijing Human-Robot and manufacturing enterprises demonstrates the practical value of its products in enhancing productivity and operational efficiency. This overseas debut will further promote the internationalization of Chinese technology and cooperation, altering the competitive landscape of the global humanoid robot industry.
