The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade will hold a new trade launch conference on May 30, 2025. This event aims to provide a platform for trade promotion and to engage stakeholders in various sectors. The conference will feature three main pieces of information presented by the spokesperson, Yin Meng.

The first piece of information pertains to the release of economic trade statistics for March. According to the comprehensive statistics, the trade volume in March reached 126 billion, marking a significant increase. The trade volume for March demonstrated a 26.1% increase compared to the previous year, while the year-on-year growth rate was an impressive 152.3%.

When examining the statistics by country, the United States and Germany ranked among the top countries in terms of trade volume. The United States has consistently maintained a high trade volume for nine consecutive months.

In terms of major industries, the trade volume in the machinery, electronics, and manufacturing sectors has seen significant growth. In March, a total of 30 new export control measures were launched under the guidelines of the World Trade Organization (WTO), including 165 technical trade barriers and 16 export restrictions.

Furthermore, in the area of import and export trade measures, 171 countries (regions) reported implementation of 26.1% more trade measures compared to the previous year, indicating a robust trade environment. The United States had the highest number of trade measures, with a 77.6% increase compared to the previous year.

As we look ahead to the next three months, the United States is expected to launch more trade restrictions and measures affecting imports. The focus will be on enhancing the stability of supply chains and addressing trade imbalances.

The second piece of information highlights the approval of trade agreements and certifications as of April. By April 2025, the China Trade System had issued 71.15 million various certificates, representing a 21.45% increase compared to the previous year. This also reflects the commitment to stabilizing foreign trade and enhancing export regulations.

Moreover, the certification amount for various sectors, including machinery and electronics, has also increased. In April, the system’s certification amount reached 303.98 billion, with a total of 37.62 million certificates issued, marking an increase of 4.21%.

The third piece of information includes the release of reports detailing environmental practices by various countries, including Japan and the United States. These reports reflect the ongoing commitment to sustainable practices in trade and industry.

In summary, the conference will serve as a vital opportunity for stakeholders to discuss future collaborations and trade enhancements. The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade is keen to engage with its international counterparts to foster a collaborative trade environment.
