The China Development Bank has issued over 250 billion yuan in green loans to support carbon reduction efforts. Meanwhile, Iran has expressed a willingness to commit to never developing nuclear weapons if sanctions are lifted.
In Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, a new energy vehicle park is filled with cars awaiting export and sale.
According to Caixin, on May 15, 2025, China’s new energy vehicle sales (including exports) are projected to grow by approximately 30% year-on-year, reaching 16.5 million units. This will account for over 50% of total vehicle sales. On May 14, during a media exchange organized by the China Electric Vehicle Hundred Forum and Lis Strategic Consulting, Shi Jianhua, the Deputy Secretary-General of the China Electric Vehicle Hundred Forum, shared this forecast.
Statistics from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers indicate that in 2024, a total of 12.866 million new energy vehicles were sold, marking a year-on-year increase of 35.5%. Notably, in July 2024, the penetration rate of new energy passenger vehicles exceeded 50% for the first time in a single month, maintaining this trend until November of the same year. This indicates that new energy vehicles are gradually becoming the mainstream choice in China’s automotive market.
