According to a report from PANews on February 18, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, along with eight other departments, has released the “Action Plan for the High-Quality Development of the New Energy Storage Manufacturing Industry.” This plan aims to promote the extensive application of advanced information technologies, including blockchain, big data, artificial intelligence, and 5G, within the new energy storage manufacturing sector.
The initiative focuses on accelerating the establishment of smart factories and encouraging the digital transformation of critical processes involved in the production and manufacturing of new energy storage products and system integration. The plan advocates for the use of online detection technologies—such as machine vision, ultrasound, and infrared thermal imaging—to enhance quality control systems.
Additionally, it aims to improve the automation levels in the production and packaging of various new energy storage products. The plan supports manufacturing companies in extending their service chains and developing a new model of service-oriented manufacturing.
