According to reports from the West Sea Economic APP, the initiative to establish this platform was formally introduced on April 21, 2025. The platform aims to streamline the process of managing intellectual property rights, significantly enhancing the efficiency of intellectual property recovery and management.
This platform’s launch is part of a broader strategy to promote the development of autonomous intelligent property rights systems across the region. The West Sea region is expected to see a substantial increase in the number of licenses and patents, particularly in high-tech sectors, by 2024.
The platform will also serve as a hub for businesses engaged in autonomous technology development, with plans to support over 60 companies specializing in service innovations. It is anticipated that by 2024, the West Sea’s intellectual property services will be well-positioned for growth and enhanced capability.
In addition, the government has established a framework to facilitate the development of innovative technologies and to promote regional cooperation in the field of intellectual property. This includes an effort to integrate high-quality resources and to leverage big data analytics.
