On May 20, 2025, Guo Wang Meng Si Electric Power announced that their Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative, titled Application of Data Integration Technology Based on Cloud Computing, has been recognized at the 2025 World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Awards. This marks the only Chinese project to receive this honor.
The WSIS Awards acknowledge innovative projects that leverage information and communication technologies (ICT) to foster sustainable development. The initiative was recognized for its significant contributions to promoting digital inclusion and enhancing access to information.
In the lead-up to the WSIS event, the project emerged from collaborations with various international organizations, including the United Nations International Telecommunication Union and the International Telecommunication Union. It involved participation from 15 countries, including countries at different development stages, as well as contributions from China’s major telecom operators.

The Application of Data Integration Technology Based on Cloud Computing focuses on balancing data value with security, emphasizing the need for secure data management practices. It aims to enhance the efficiency of data usage while ensuring privacy and protection against data breaches.
By adopting this technology, Guo Wang Meng Si Electric Power intends to create a new model for data sharing and collaboration across sectors, ultimately contributing to a more equitable and sustainable digital landscape.
The initiative has already been applied in various fields, including energy management and carbon emissions reduction, demonstrating its versatility and effectiveness in addressing contemporary challenges.
This recognition at the WSIS Awards highlights the growing importance of integrating technology with sustainable development efforts and showcases China’s role in leading the charge towards a digital future.
