According to MIIT’s recent release, the focus will be on enhancing the classification standards for new energy products and expediting the promotion of high-efficiency solar products. The Ministry aims to strengthen the system for categorizing solar energy products, including battery storage systems, and will emphasize the integration of smart technologies in solar energy.

The plan includes accelerating the construction of solar energy projects and enhancing the efficiency of energy generation systems. The focus will also be on improving energy recovery and adaptive modeling to meet the increasing demands in the energy sector.

Moreover, Yancheng has committed to actively participating in the national large-scale solar energy project development, particularly in connection with offshore wind farms and integrated clean energy sources.

The city will be promoting the “Beautiful Yancheng Construction Plan (2025-2035)” to ensure the sustainable development of new energy resources. The aim is to build a robust infrastructure for renewable energy, focusing on wind and solar energy integration.

According to the latest data, Yancheng plans to complete the development of a 300MW solar installation by 2025, contributing significantly to the city’s renewable energy capacity. This project will include both onshore and offshore solar energy facilities.

In terms of pricing, the market for solar panels has seen a stable trend. As of April 10, the price for M10 solar cells is around 0.31 CNY/watt, with prices fluctuating between 0.29-0.31 CNY/watt.

The N-type solar cells, including M10 and G12 types, are maintaining stable prices, averaging around 0.31 CNY/watt. Meanwhile, the TOPCon cells are priced between 0.63-0.78 CNY/watt.

JinkoSolar has also announced plans to increase its production capacity to 1.43GW in 2024, reflecting a slight decrease of 2.3% from the previous year. The production volume is expected to reach 1.41GW, down 3.97% compared to last year.

In another significant development, the HJT solar cell production is projected to reach 5GW, reflecting a commitment to enhancing the efficiency and output of solar energy technologies.

The latest updates indicate that the new energy initiatives will focus on building a robust network for renewable energy, emphasizing the need for collaboration across different sectors in order to meet the growing energy demands.

As the energy landscape continues to evolve, these developments will be crucial in shaping the future of renewable energy in Yancheng and beyond.
