On May 23, 2025, at 10:49, Longi Green Energy released its power generation equipment and new energy report. The demand for photovoltaic modules in Europe is on the rise, with the inverter market witnessing an increase in temperature.
(1) In April 2025, China’s solar energy module export volume reached 2.249 billion USD, marking a -21.2% decline year-over-year, while the total export capacity was 29.08GW, a +8.8% increase, with a quarterly decrease of -8.5%.
In the European market, the cumulative installed capacity and price fluctuations continue to create uncertainty. In April, the total exports of Longi’s photovoltaic modules to Europe amounted to 9.04GW, continuing the recent trend of high production with a +11.51% increase. The new market for photovoltaic modules is expected to maintain its growth, although European markets are affected by trade policies and demand fluctuations.
(2) Regarding inverters, in April 2025, the total export volume reached 8.09 billion USD, reflecting a +27.8% increase, with an export scale reaching 452.92 million units, a +21.35% increase year-over-year. The European market for inverters is showing significant growth, primarily driven by local demand for energy-efficient solutions.
In April, the export volume of inverters from Europe reached 9.448 million units, with a +31.19% increase, reflecting an actual export value of 26.46 billion USD, a +49.18% increase.
Overall, the demand for photovoltaic products is expected to remain strong, supported by ongoing projects, policy backing, and an increasing need for sustainable energy solutions. The market is likely to see continued growth in new areas, with projections for significant increases in both capacity and demand in the upcoming years.
