On February 1, Sichuan Xinye Intelligent Robot Technology Co., Ltd., established by China Minmetals Corporation and its subsidiary China Minmetals Construction, launched the country’s first self-developed intelligent construction robot cluster in Chengdu. This cluster includes an industry-first project-level intelligent scheduling management system, as well as four autonomous intelligent construction robots designed for high-altitude welding, multi-purpose delivery, intelligent rebar processing, and intelligent spraying.

The first project-level intelligent scheduling management system, known as Construction OS, acts as a “super brain” for construction sites. This self-developed core technology enables full lifecycle management and intelligent scheduling of robots and smart equipment. It integrates AI models for intelligent inspections and video monitoring, provides real-time 3D visualization of construction data, and offers multi-screen synchronization. The system automatically alerts operators to any anomalies, ensuring transparency and control throughout the process.

This is the industry’s first intelligent welding robot for high-altitude steel structures. It features magnetic adhesion technology that enables 90-degree vertical climbing and 360-degree flexible rotation. Equipped with a 1200mm six-axis robotic arm, it achieves ±0.02mm positioning accuracy and utilizes a “smart brain” trained on extensive welding data to automatically select optimal welding solutions. Its self-developed weld pool camera and real-time monitoring system capture minute deviations, ensuring precision in both construction and inspection processes.
The modular design and customizable configurations allow it to adapt to various applications such as bridge engineering, building steel structures, and ship manufacturing. Importantly, it replaces human labor in high-altitude and confined spaces, eliminating safety risks and individual operational inconsistencies while providing stable and reliable welding quality. This is the industry’s first multi-purpose intelligent delivery robot capable of switching navigation between indoor and outdoor environments. With a load capacity of 1 ton and a universal conversion base, it can easily carry various materials such as shelves, energy cabinets, mechanical arms, cement, tools, and building materials. It incorporates industry-first BIM and multi-source integration navigation technology, allowing it to autonomously navigate and avoid obstacles even without a network connection, and it can automatically recharge.
With over 90% of its hardware designed for standardization, it is compatible with mainstream robot open-source ecosystems, making it not just a transportation device but a versatile mobile platform for various operations, potentially saving customers millions in customization costs. This is the country’s first project-level intelligent rebar processing equipment that can be rapidly deployed and features intelligent processing capabilities. Its self-developed central control system supports one-button startup and fully automated processing, doubling operational efficiency through multi-point synchronous work. Real-time parameter calibration ensures high precision output, enhancing production efficiency by 2 to 5 times compared to conventional manual processing.
With cloud-based chart importing, it can automatically generate processing plans, and remote monitoring with real-time data reporting allows for complete control without on-site supervision. Its container-style standardized unit design, combined with a hydraulic automatic unloading system and auxiliary robotic arms, enables independent short-distance transitions and automatic unloading. It utilizes self-developed variable frequency pulsed spraying technology and AI edge recognition algorithms to automatically adapt to wall material types and adjust spraying pressure, ensuring precise control with minimal waste. The robot’s four independent driving wheels, combined with laser navigation, allow for optimal path planning and movement in tight spaces and complex environments.
With six-axis collaborative arms for high-precision positioning, it precisely controls the speed and swing angle of the spray gun, resulting in flawless surfaces without brush marks and uniform thickness, achieving a “mirror-like” finish.
