The largest in the country! The new model of “Hot + Cold” is officially launching the electric power development towards a “new” and “green” direction.
On September 19, 2025, it was reported that on September 18, the largest “line-type solar power station” was officially launched in the country. The “Hot + Cold” project aims to achieve a combined capacity for electricity generation and storage, marking the start of a new model of operation.
This initiative focuses on integrating strong power networks with new energy sources. The “line-type solar power station” represents a technological advancement in solar energy. It employs methods proposed by leading scholars in the field, utilizing solar energy conversion to generate electricity.
The project is located in the new district of a key city, featuring a total capacity of 1 billion watts. It includes 100 million watts for the hot energy storage station and 90 million watts for the cold energy storage station. The hot energy component achieves efficiency through a linear array of solar collectors, enhancing the storage capacity.
Each energy storage system can effectively provide up to 8 hours of backup power, ensuring high conversion efficiency and stable usage of solar energy. The project aims to significantly improve the reliability of electricity supply, particularly during peak usage times.
During the day, the cold energy storage system can provide stable electricity supply without interruption, ensuring a consistent output for 24 hours. Following the project’s capacity integration, the hot energy storage station can contribute to peak load management, working in conjunction with the cold energy storage station to optimize energy resources.
It is estimated that the project will generate approximately 20.67 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, consequently reducing carbon emissions by around 163 million tons.
