China Energy Construction Reports Positive Growth in Q1 2025 Operational Metrics

On April 21, China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC) held a meeting to report on its operational performance for the first quarter of 2025. This meeting served to comprehensively summarize the company’s performance during the quarter and systematically plan the key work for the next phase. Song Hailiang, the Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the company, provided directives regarding the operational work.

The meeting was attended by <b>Ni Zhen</b>, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager, who delivered a speech, while <b>Li Lina</b>, a member of the Party Committee and Chief Accountant, chaired the meeting and conveyed the spirit of the central enterprise's economic operation report for the first quarter.

In his remarks, Song Hailiang noted that in the first quarter, the company diligently implemented the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, as well as the second and third plenary sessions of the 20th Central Committee and the central economic work conference. The company adhered to the requirements outlined in the meetings of central enterprise leaders and the annual work conference, focusing on executing key tasks for the year. The company held a high-level technology innovation conference, fully launched the "Artificial Intelligence +" initiative, and made significant progress in both domestic and international markets. Notably, the company's key operational indicators showed a counter-trend growth, achieving a "good start" and maintaining stability.

Song emphasized that the second quarter is a critical period for seizing business opportunities, accelerating high-quality development, and intensifying efforts across all fronts. The company must increase its internal pressures, enhance value creation, and ensure outstanding results by focusing on five key areas:

    <li><b>Systematic Reforms:</b> Accelerate the implementation of reform actions, align with benchmarks, enforce accountability, and achieve visible results through reform-driven activation of potential.</li>
    <li><b>Risk Management:</b> Advance the comprehensive risk management system, strictly implement requirements to curb risks in key areas, and maintain a firm commitment to preventing major incidents.</li>
    <li><b>Education and Learning:</b> Conduct high-quality learning and education on the spirit of the eight central regulations, continuously enhance the awareness and responsibility of Party members and leaders, and effectively translate educational outcomes into tangible results for high-quality development.</li>

Song also set forth requirements for safety production during the May Day holiday, emphasizing the need to strictly implement the "twelve measures" to prevent major safety incidents.

In his speech, Ni Zhen outlined key action measures focusing on five areas:

    <li><b>Strengthening Party Building:</b> Enhance Party construction and implement the "seven initiatives." Promote strict governance of the Party and conduct high-quality education to deepen the spirit of the eight central regulations.</li>

The meeting was conducted in a hybrid format, combining in-person and video conferencing. Other senior executives, heads of departments, divisions, and responsible personnel from various regional headquarters and enterprises participated in the meeting.
