**C-Suite Realigns Transformation Strategies to Navigate Complexity, Boost Efficiency, and Drive Outcomes**

MONTRÉAL, Quebec, June 23, 2025 – CGI (TSX: GIB.A) (NYSE: GIB), one of the largest independent IT and business consulting services firms globally, has released findings from its annual proprietary global research. This study is based on discussions with over 1,800 business and technology executives, with 80% holding C-level positions.

This year’s research highlights three significant insights that are shaping the business and technology strategies of both commercial and government organizations:

1. **Acceleration of Value Chain Evolution**: Two-thirds of executives report that digitization is transforming business models. This shift is driven by changes in the global economic landscape and reconfiguration of supply chains, a trend that has increased to 38%, a rise of 10 percentage points from last year and 25 points over the last three years.

2. **Challenges to Achieving Tangible ROI**: Macroeconomic and geopolitical uncertainties are pressuring enterprises to reduce costs while advancing digital transformation. However, only 28% of executives believe their operating models are agile enough to support this digital acceleration and the integration of emerging technologies. Nearly half of the respondents identified legacy systems as the primary barrier to implementing digital strategies, while almost 70% continue to face difficulties in recruiting and retaining skilled IT personnel. Despite these challenges, two-thirds plan to maintain or increase their capital expenditures in the coming year, with more than half intending to invest over $200 million in new IT initiatives over the next three years.

3. **Increased Openness to New Digital Transformation Approaches**: As operational efficiency and modernization become top priorities, there is a growing interest among executives in new managed service models, application modernization, and cloud solutions. AI implementation is increasingly recognized as a vital tool for enhancing efficiency and fostering innovation, with 35% of organizations adopting traditional AI and 26% embracing generative AI—both figures showing year-over-year growth.

“Executives are continuing to pursue ambitious digital transformation goals while navigating complexity, managing costs, and adapting to changing workforce dynamics. Many are increasingly looking for an enterprise-level partner who can provide not just technical expertise but also deep industry and business experience. With an insights-driven approach, CGI serves as that trusted partner,” said François Boulanger, CGI President and CEO. “Our unique combination of local relationships and global scale, along with comprehensive offerings, enables clients to achieve meaningful business outcomes. Our extensive managed services and intellectual property solutions, especially in modernization and AI integration, help clients bridge the gap between strategy and execution through customized transformation strategies.”

As organizations transition from exploring AI to full implementation, adoption is maturing across all sectors and regions. In the 2025 findings, AI and automation emerged as the top investment priority for executives, supporting comprehensive digital transformations aimed at delivering results and creating value. “With organizations increasingly investing in AI, we are dedicated to guiding clients through scalable, responsible, and human-centric transformations. Our structured approach focuses on helping clients seamlessly integrate responsible AI into their operations, fueling innovation and enabling smarter, data-driven decisions in an AI-powered world,” stated Dave Henderson, President of Intelligent Solutions and Innovation at CGI.
