Recently, the Lingyi Intelligent Manufacturing Super Factory for embodied intelligence officially began construction in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone (also known as Beijing E-Town). This facility marks the first embodied intelligence super factory in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, integrating intelligent manufacturing, research and development innovation, and lean production. The establishment of this factory adds crucial production capacity to Beijing E-Town’s embodied intelligence sector.
Notably, Lingyi Intelligent Manufacturing has signed agreements with its first batch of collaborative clients, including Beijing Humanoid Robotics, Beijing Yuanluo Technology Co., Ltd., and Magic Atom, focusing on the assembly and testing of the embodied intelligent robots produced at the site.
According to the plan, the Lingyi Intelligent Manufacturing Super Factory will leverage its comprehensive advantages in precision manufacturing, full-process technology, and global supply chains to offer a one-stop service for embodied intelligent manufacturing, covering everything from precision structural components and core modules to assembly testing. The factory aims to complete the main design and renovations within the year, with plans to produce 10,000 embodied intelligent robots annually by the end of this year. By 2030, it is expected to achieve an annual production capacity of 500,000 units, establishing itself as a globally benchmarked, industry-leading intelligent and automated super factory.
In addition to bridging the critical gap between prototype development and mass production, the Lingyi Intelligent Manufacturing Super Factory will collaborate with the Beijing Humanoid Robotics pilot verification platform to create a closed-loop system that aligns research and production. Currently, the global humanoid robotics industry is rapidly transitioning from technology development to practical applications and commercialization. However, significant gaps still exist between the innovation chain and the industrial chain. To address the industry’s core challenge of “easy research and difficult mass production,” a manufacturing platform with high specialization, standardization, and scalability is becoming essential infrastructure to facilitate industry advancement.
The two parties will jointly establish an efficient digital production system supporting humanoid robots from “prototype development” to “pilot verification” and then to “mass manufacturing,” accelerating the transition of innovative results into industrial applications.
As a permanent venue for the World Robot Conference and a key hub for the robotics industry in Beijing, E-Town has established national-level platforms such as the National and Local Collaborative Innovation Center for Embodied Intelligent Robots. It has attracted over 300 renowned robotics and intelligent manufacturing enterprises, including Star Sea Map, Yunji Technology, and Lingzu Times, forming a comprehensive industrial chain that covers core components, complete machine manufacturing, system integration, and scenario solutions. In August 2025, Beijing E-Town released the “Ten Policies for Embodied Intelligence,” which emphasizes promoting high-level robotics manufacturing, enhancing large-scale production capabilities, and achieving mass production capacity for tens of thousands of embodied intelligent robots.
An official from the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone stated that Beijing E-Town will further advance its embodied intelligence social experiment plan, continuously expanding future industries such as robotics and embodied intelligence. The focus will be on innovation breakthroughs, practical application scenarios, and safety governance, gathering high-quality data for embodied intelligence and enhancing humanoid robot manufacturing capabilities. The aim is to create a rapid response supply chain system, continuously promote the upgrade of the humanoid robot innovation center, iterate towards Robot World 3.0, and host high-profile events such as the World Robot Conference and the Humanoid Robot Half Marathon to expand influence. Additionally, it will explore high-value application scenarios and proactively plan for safety and ethical governance systems in robotics, accelerating the establishment of a collaborative environment for humans and machines in embodied intelligence training.
