Ascent Solar Technologies Enters Teaming Agreement to Supply Thin-Film Solar Technology for Orbital Applications

THORNTON, Colo. — Ascent Solar Technologies (“Ascent” or the “Company”) (Nasdaq: ASTI), a leading U.S. innovator in the design and manufacturing of lightweight, flexible thin-film photovoltaic (PV) solutions, has announced a new Teaming Agreement to provide a U.S.-based defense solutions provider with its advanced thin-film solar technology for upcoming orbital applications and future missions.

Ascent is positioned to deliver mission-optimized solar array solutions using its CIGS PV product line, which has been developed with a heritage in spaceflight. These high-performance CIGS PV products are manufactured domestically at the Company’s 5 MW facility in Thornton, CO, allowing for array deliveries in as little as six to eight weeks. In contrast, many competitors struggle to meet tight delivery schedules, often requiring lead times of nine to twelve months. Earlier this year, Ascent received multiple orders for spaceflight hardware assemblies, which are expected to be completed and delivered this summer.
