Construction Indicators
In April, policies related to competitive project allocation and construction plans were highlighted. Ningxia Wuzhong announced projects for guaranteed grid-connected renewable energy with a total application scale of 16.1 GW, with an intended arrangement of 6 GW. Liaoning released its first batch of wind and solar project construction plans for 2025, targeting a total capacity of 7 million kilowatts.
Guizhou publicized the status of wind and solar projects for the period from December 2024 to April 2025, totaling 94 projects with a capacity of 796.893 MW. Jiangxi Nanchang announced results for its fourth batch of rooftop solar projects, totaling 59.473 MW.
Subsidies and Energy Storage
April saw 2 subsidy policies with notable offerings in Beijing and Zhejiang, providing financial support based on installed capacity. Additionally, 3 energy storage policies were introduced, including a total capacity of 420 MW in Henan.
Planning and Management Policies
Eight planning and guiding opinions were issued, with Guangdong aiming for a total installed capacity of 3 million kilowatts by the end of 2025, while Sichuan anticipates substantial growth in its renewable energy sector.
Management policies in Guangdong highlighted areas facing consumption constraints, while provinces such as Inner Mongolia and Shanxi outlined new measures for distributed solar project applications.
Conclusion
This comprehensive review of solar policies in April underscores a significant push towards enhancing solar energy deployment across various provinces. With numerous initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and encouraging private sector involvement, the solar landscape is set to evolve rapidly in the coming years.
