As of April 2025, China’s solar battery component export value reached 22.49 billion USD, showing a year-on-year decrease of 21.2% and a month-on-month decline of 8.7%. According to Infolink’s pricing analysis, the corresponding export volume was 29.08 GW, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 8.8% but a month-on-month decrease of 8.5%.
In the European market, the cumulative installed capacity and prices fluctuated, driven by persistent demand recovery. In April, the total export of European solar battery components reached 9.04 GW, marking a year-on-year increase of 11.51%, and establishing a new high for recently created statistics. However, the Asian market faced challenges from trade policies and fluctuating demand.
In April 2025, the total export value from the domestic market was 8.09 billion USD, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 27.8%, with an export scale reaching 452.92 million units, marking an increase of 21.35%. The European market showed growth driven by demand for electric power equipment, with the region’s export value indexed at 94.48 billion USD, up 31.19% year-on-year, while the actual export volume hit 26.46 billion USD, up 49.18%.
Furthermore, the market for electric components remained robust, with a total export of 209.05 million units in April, a year-on-year increase of 22.2%. The actual export value reached 13.96 billion USD, up 24%, while exports of inverters were documented at 41.5 million units, reflecting a 35.27% increase year-on-year.
Looking ahead, the market is projected to continue experiencing variability in demand, influenced by ongoing policy adjustments and capacity expansions. The anticipated recovery in demand for electric power equipment is expected to stabilize pricing and increase production efficiency.
