Aeson Power showcased its innovative sodium battery technology at the 2025 European Battery Energy Storage Exhibition (EES Europe 2025), held in Munich on May 7, 2025. This marked the debut of Aeson Power’s sodium battery product lineup, which includes the SIBPOM-4850 designed for communication applications, the SIBPOM-12100 for UPS backup power, the industrial-grade SIBPOM-125kWh energy storage cabinet, and the NaForce and NaPulse series tailored for passenger vehicles.

The sodium battery products utilize NFPP polyionic technology, offering several key advantages such as inherent safety (complete capacity recovery after zero-volt discharge), high-temperature tolerance (stable operation in 60°C environments), excellent rate performance, high charge-discharge efficiency (with conversion rates exceeding 95%), and long lifespan (over 15,000 cycles).

In the industrial energy storage sector, Aeson Power has introduced the SIBPOM-125kWh energy storage cabinet, which features safety, intelligence, wide-temperature operation, and high energy density design. This product has passed rigorous third-party testing based on lithium battery standards such as IEC 62619 and IEC 62933.

In the automotive sector, Aeson Power launched two sodium-ion battery series, NaForce (European standard) and NaPulse (Japanese standard), which offer both stop-start and starting versions. These batteries enable instant start in extreme temperatures, rapid charging, lightweight design, and extended longevity. Notably, the stop-start battery boasts a cycle life of 180,000 times, positioning it as an ideal alternative to AGM and MF batteries in the passenger vehicle market.

In addition to sodium batteries, Aeson Power also presented lithium battery energy storage solutions, including a 261kWh industrial energy storage cabinet and a 5MWh containerized energy storage system, both certified to IEC standards by TÜV SÜD and France’s BV. Furthermore, they showcased the TRE, TUS, TSS, and THS series of bipolar lead-acid batteries, known for their excellent partial state of charge (PSoC) cycle performance, strong starting capabilities, and high power output.

Shirley Zhang, General Manager of Aeson Power, stated, “Our bipolar lead-acid batteries are globally renowned for their performance in -40°C environments and are widely adopted in the market. We are now poised for breakthroughs with our sodium-ion batteries. The safety of sodium battery technology will be a critical foundation for its future applications. Aeson Power will continue to focus its R&D resources on sodium technology.”
