Accelerated Progress in New Energy Projects: All “4.30” Initiatives by Huadian Jiangsu Successfully Commissioned

Accelerated

Recently, with the successful grid connection of the 9.95MW distributed photovoltaic project in Dongtai, Jiangsu, Huadian Jiangsu Energy Co., Ltd. has completed the “4.30” production task for all 16 of its distributed photovoltaic projects, which have a total capacity of 80,900 kW. This marks a significant advancement in the construction of new energy projects.

Huadian Jiangsu has established a dedicated team to promote the high-quality advancement of new energy initiatives. From the project’s inception, the company implemented a dual-track mechanism consisting of a “demand list + supplier database”. This approach allowed them to actively seek support from the engineering construction and supply chain management departments of the group company, ensuring strict control over procurement prices and successfully completing the adaptation of all equipment.

During the bidding process, a “task force” was formed, utilizing a “material pre-review + online joint review” model. They established a comprehensive tracking system for the entire bidding process, significantly reducing the bidding cycle by streamlining redundant procedures and shortening approval timelines, thus accelerating project commencement.

In the construction phase, a comprehensive safety inspection was conducted, with multiple expert groups performing 100% coverage checks on the project. They focused on identifying weak points in safety management, uncovering 95 potential issues that were all rectified within specified deadlines, ensuring a “zero defect” standard for project quality.

During the grid connection phase, a “grid connection roadmap” was developed for each project, along with a “daily tracking and weekly scheduling” mechanism. This facilitated coordination with local grid companies to resolve construction challenges, leading to a 30% reduction in quality inspection and acceptance timelines, ensuring that projects were interconnected and generating electricity immediately upon completion.

From equipment adaptation to grid connection, Huadian Jiangsu has demonstrated a sense of urgency, achieving what is termed the “Huadian Jiangsu speed” in the new energy sector.

The 3.3MW distributed photovoltaic project in Changzhou saw the construction team form six specialized groups to simultaneously advance the photovoltaic, electrical, and civil engineering works. Through a construction competition mechanism, the project was divided into eight segments for phased competition, with daily progress reports. To tackle the challenges of high safety risks and complex processes associated with curved roofs, the team innovatively employed 3D modeling to simulate construction, dynamically adjusting plans and ultimately achieving a 7-day early completion of milestone targets, which increased construction efficiency by 25%.

The construction team for the projects in Yangzhou is dedicated to advancing four distributed photovoltaic projects. They adopted a “battle map” strategy, breaking down the total workload into 128 specific construction nodes. Over 300 construction personnel and more than 50 pieces of machinery were deployed for continuous operation, resulting in the early achievement of full capacity grid connection for the four projects, totaling 21.64MW.

For the Dongtai YuHang 9.95MW distributed project, a drone survey was conducted to map the 300,000 square meters of rooftop terrain prior to construction. The innovative high-altitude operation pulley system improved efficiency by 40%, and the use of drones and on-site cranes enabled the installation of all components in just 35 days.

In recent years, the renewable energy landscape of Huadian Jiangsu has been expanding steadily. As of April 2025, the installed capacity of new energy has surged to 2.76 million kW, with a 59% share of clean energy installations. Additionally, 240,000 kWh of new energy storage systems are being prepared to support the company’s foundation for high-quality development.
