On October 5, A-share solar giant Sunshine Power submitted its listing materials to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Established in 1997, Sunshine Power is a clean energy technology company that started with photovoltaic inverter business and has since focused on several clean power sectors, including solar energy, wind energy, energy storage, electric vehicles and charging, as well as hydrogen energy.
The company’s main products include photovoltaic inverters, energy storage systems, wind energy conversion and transmission products, electric control power supplies and charging equipment for electric vehicles, as well as hydrogen energy equipment. According to projected shipments for 2024, Sunshine Power holds approximately 25.2% of the global market share for photovoltaic inverters. As of June 30, 2025, the cumulative shipment volume of its energy storage systems reached 70 GWh.
In the 2025 edition of the China’s 500 Most Valuable Brands published by the World Brand Lab, Sunshine Power’s brand value was estimated at 116.14 billion yuan, placing it among the top 100 Chinese brands. This marks the sixth consecutive year of growth in both brand value and ranking for the company.
With the upcoming listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Sunshine Power plans to use the raised funds for research and development purposes, including investment in next-generation photovoltaic and energy storage products, as well as building and upgrading R&D centers. Additional plans include establishing overseas production bases and accelerating digital transformation to empower business growth. The funds will also cover working capital and other general corporate purposes.
It is noteworthy that Sunshine Power has been listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange since November 2, 2011, with a current market value of 335.8 billion yuan.
