87GWh Achievement: Four Major Energy Projects Secured for Future Development

87GWh

87 GWh! Four major energy storage projects have been signed.

On September 30, 2025, the market will see significant developments in energy storage as 87 GWh worth of capacity is set to be realized. Recently, multiple companies have announced agreements in this sector, focusing on advanced energy solutions and lithium battery technology.

Among these projects, two are classified as energy production types, while the other two fall under application types. Notably, the 70 GWh lithium battery project has been confirmed, which will commence operations after the official launch of the new generation of lithium batteries. This initiative aims to enhance production capacity while aligning with governmental agreements.

As for the energy storage projects, they are expected to achieve an annual capacity of 70 GWh, which includes lithium-ion batteries, dynamic storage batteries, and pack production lines. Notably, the energy storage sector is projected to reach a total capacity of over 110 GWh in the near future, with a long-term goal of reaching 300 GWh.

In addition to the aforementioned projects, recent developments indicate that new energy storage systems are currently being established in regions such as Hubei, Jiangsu, and Guangdong, with effective production already exceeding 110 GWh. The goal is to achieve a target of 80 GWh by 2025, with the highest monthly output projected to be 8 GWh.

On November 11, the China Electric Power Equipment and Technology Co. announced the completion of contracts associated with energy storage systems, focusing on the development of high-capacity lithium batteries.

These contracts include the construction of facilities capable of producing 6 GWh of lithium-ion batteries. The project is designed to meet the increasing demand for energy storage solutions across various applications.

Overall, these developments reflect a growing commitment to advancing energy storage technology and increasing production capacity, ensuring a robust framework for future energy needs.
