25MW Micro-Inverter Solar Project Becomes Largest of Its Kind in China

25MW

25MW! The largest single-capacity micro-inverter photovoltaic project in the country successfully connects to the grid
Recently, the National Convention and Exhibition Center in Nanjing launched a 25MW micro-inverter distributed photovoltaic power station, marking it as the largest single-capacity micro-inverter project in the country. The project is located in the Jianye District of Nanjing and covers an installation area of over 150,000 square meters, making full use of the convention center’s roof. It is equipped with 6,442 micro-inverters from Yuneng Technology and over 40,000 high-efficiency photovoltaic modules. This initiative represents a significant step in exploring cooperation between the exhibition industry and the photovoltaic new energy sector, enhancing the integration and development efficiency of these industries.
The project is owned by Nanjing Hexi New District State-owned Assets Management Holding Group Co., Ltd. (referred to as “Hexi Group”) and Nanjing Hexi Convention and Exhibition Co., Ltd. (referred to as “Exhibition Company”). It operates under a self-generated and surplus power grid connection model, with an estimated annual electricity generation of about 24.8 million kilowatt-hours. The generated electricity will not only supply the convention center but can also be sold to the grid, anticipated to generate annual economic benefits of up to 10 million yuan. This will significantly meet the electricity demands for various functions of the center, including exhibitions, conferences, accommodations, dining, events, and entertainment.
Technological Empowerment for a New Green Demonstration
Yuneng Technology, a publicly listed company on the Science and Technology Innovation Board, has consistently adhered to its mission of “Driving a Zero-Carbon Future and Co-creating Smart Living.” The company aims to become “the most efficient and safe clean energy converter” and possesses strong core technological advantages and extensive project implementation experience in the fields of module-level power electronics and residential as well as commercial energy storage technology. The 25MW micro-inverter distributed photovoltaic project at the Nanjing International Exhibition Center exemplifies a collaboration between Yuneng Technology, Hexi Group, and the Exhibition Company to explore sustainable green development models and accelerate the growth of new productive forces.
This project leverages large-scale micro-inverter photovoltaic technology, achieving significant advantages in safety, efficiency, and intelligent operation and maintenance. Its importance lies in promoting energy conservation and carbon reduction at the Nanjing International Exhibition Center, reducing reliance on traditional energy sources. It is expected to cut carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 25,000 tons annually, equivalent to planting 900,000 trees. This will significantly enhance regional environmental quality and promote green and low-carbon development.
Moreover, the project provides valuable practical experience for the energy transition and green development of large public buildings, which has far-reaching implications for optimizing the energy structure and improving environmental benefits across society. The successful grid connection of this project not only showcases Yuneng Technology’s excellence in technological innovation and product optimization but also marks a breakthrough in applying micro-inverter products in large photovoltaic projects, setting a benchmark for similar future projects.
