The 2026 Future Industry Summit will be held in Tokyo, focusing on promoting the development of future industries through new pathways. The summit, organized by the Beijing Institute of Future Technology and Innovation (BIFASTSI), will take place on February 3, 2026, in collaboration with various industry leaders and government officials.
The theme for this year’s summit is “Value Creation and Collaborative Innovation.” Experts from various sectors, including academia and business, will discuss topics such as future industries, emerging technologies, entrepreneurial innovation, and artificial intelligence. The summit aims to build a robust platform for knowledge exchange and collaborative efforts to enhance the quality and efficiency of future industries.
As part of its commitment to innovation, the Chinese government has set up several “innovation hubs” across the country to foster technological advances and industrial integration. The initiative emphasizes the importance of connectivity and resource optimization as foundational strategies for economic growth.
By 2026, it is projected that the market value of these future industries will exceed 2 trillion yuan, establishing China as a leading player in the global technological landscape.
The summit will see participation from over 80 prominent enterprises, including 21 that are recognized as “specialized and sophisticated” in their respective fields. The focus will be on enhancing the development of high-quality innovative products and services.
With the aim of creating a “multi-dimensional innovation ecosystem,” the summit will also address the integration of AI and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies to improve industry efficiency and sustainability.
Moving forward, the Chinese government plans to support the growth of the aviation industry, aiming to achieve an output of 6-8 billion yuan by 2030, and 12 billion yuan by 2035. This includes the development of advanced manufacturing techniques and the establishment of a solid regulatory framework to ensure sustainable growth.
The summit will serve as a platform for discussions on creating a collaborative environment among enterprises, academic institutions, and government bodies, laying the groundwork for a vibrant future industry landscape.
