Singapore International Energy Week 2025 will focus on the theme “Envisioning the Energy Future, Building Today’s Systems.” The event will take place from October 27 to 31, 2025, bringing together global energy leaders to discuss the challenges and opportunities in the rapidly evolving energy sector.
As technology advances and economies transform, today’s energy systems continue to evolve at a rapid pace. Countries prioritize energy security and resilience as they navigate fluctuations in energy markets and supplies, technological disruptions, and policy adjustments. How can the global energy community deepen cooperation, drive energy transitions, and build a secure, resilient, and flexible energy system for the future? There is an urgent need to intensify efforts in evaluating and developing low-carbon energy pathways, including hydrogen, carbon capture utilization and storage, nuclear energy, geothermal energy, and biomethane, while supporting economic growth and improving living standards to mitigate climate change.
“While planning for the future, the construction of a new energy system is equally urgent. How can we better promote global and regional cooperation, stimulate innovation, and catalyze the necessary investments to transform our energy landscape? On the occasion of Singapore’s 60th anniversary, we must demonstrate our strong commitment to building a robust energy system that benefits future generations,” stated Mr. Ngiam Shih Chun, Chief Executive of the Energy Market Authority.
Key Initiatives and Events at SIEW 2025
SIEW 2025 will introduce a series of new initiatives commemorating Singapore’s 60th anniversary of independence. The SG60@SIEW energy exhibition will showcase Singapore’s energy vision for 2065 while focusing on current initiatives and decisions that shape the country’s energy ecosystem.
The Energy Market Authority will also establish the SIEW Academy, which will gather global thought leaders in energy to promote innovation and explore new pathways for Asia’s energy future. The week-long SIEW activities will kick off with the SIEW Summit, followed by the Singapore-International Energy Agency (IEA) Forum, the Singapore-International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) High-Level Forum, as well as SIEW Energy Insights, SIEW TechTable, and the SIEW Thinktank Roundtable. A series of related events will also take place, including the Asia Clean Energy Summit, Asia Carbon Summit, Asian Downstream Summit, Asian Refining Technology Conference, Ammonia and Carbon Capture Asia, and the Asia Gas Market Conference.
The SP Group will host the flagship event of the East Asia and West Pacific Power Supply Industry Association—the 25th Asia-Pacific Power Conference—during SIEW 2025.
