The 2025 Green Technology Conference recently took place in Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province, focusing on the theme of “Green Technology Innovation under Carbon Neutrality Goals.” This event marked the fourth meeting of the Carbon Neutrality Innovation and Development Forum, officially kicking off its initiatives.
Co-hosted by the Green Technology Development Center and the Carbon Neutrality Advisory Committee, the forum has seen participation from over 300 green technology enterprises since its inception in 2022. It aims to foster collaboration among these companies, promoting innovations in green technology.
The forum serves as a platform for member companies to share resources and develop capabilities across various dimensions, including funding, intellectual property, and business resources. More than 50% of participating companies have successfully established new partnerships, with 15 companies obtaining joint national IP support.
Additionally, 23 companies have received national IP guidance from the WIPO GREEN initiative. This highlights the increasing collaboration between businesses and governmental bodies aimed at accelerating green technology development and carbon reduction strategies.
As part of the efforts in Shanxi, the Green Technology Enterprise Alliance has officially launched, consisting of 17 member companies, including Shanxi Zhenxing Energy and Taiyuan Renewable Energy. The alliance aims to enhance the region’s green technology landscape and facilitate carbon reduction projects.
Moving forward, the focus will be on building a carbon tracking system for member enterprises, implementing carbon footprint tracking, and managing green energy resources effectively. This initiative aims to create a robust platform for collaboration while ensuring sustainable energy development.
The conference was organized by a committee of experts from China, with numerous prominent leaders from Shanxi Province participating. The discussions focused on enhancing regional cooperation in green technology and carbon resource management.
