On May 28, the report detailing the fifth batch of renewable energy power generation subsidy projects for 2025 was released. This latest list includes a total of 149 projects, with an approved/registered capacity of 404.79 megawatts. Among these, there are 14 centralized generation projects totaling 339.36 megawatts, and 135 distributed generation projects with an approved capacity of 65.43 megawatts.
Additionally, there are 81 projects that have been modified in the renewable energy power generation subsidy list, with a total approved/registered capacity of 606.82 megawatts. This includes 9 centralized projects with a capacity of 453.50 megawatts and 72 distributed projects with a capacity of 153.32 megawatts.
The announcement of the fifth batch of renewable energy power generation subsidy projects adheres to several guidelines, including the Notice from the Ministry of Finance, National Development and Reform Commission, and National Energy Administration on promoting the healthy development of non-hydropower renewable energy generation (Cai Jian [2020] No. 4), and others. These documents outline the procedures for reviewing and approving projects submitted through the State Grid’s New Energy Cloud Platform. After initial reviews by the State Grid, confirmation by provincial authorities, and verification by the National Renewable Energy Information Management Center, the projects are officially announced following the required public disclosure procedures.
